About Ontario sexual assault centres

Sexual assault centres in Ontario provide support to survivors of sexual violence and prevention education to the community.

Sexual assault centre services are free and confidential. Sexual assault centres support survivors of recent as well as past sexual violence . You don’t have to report what happened to the police in order to get support at a sexual assault centre.

Services include:

Individual counselling

24-hour support and crisis line

Hospital, police reporting & court accompaniment

Information on the legal system and other community resources

Group counselling

Skill-building groups and workshops

Prevention education on sexual assault, consent, healthy relationships, responding to sexual assault disclosures, sexual harassment, online sexual violence, human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, impacts of sexual violence on survivor-victims, and other topics

Information and support for partners, families and friends of survivors

Taking action to end sexual violence

Participation on community workgroups and committees, and partnerships with diverse community groups
